Residential project

Enclosed porch turned into a finished room

An enclosed porch full of stored furniture, stripped to the framing and rebuilt as a bright finished room with a tile floor.

What we did

  • Demolition to the framing
  • New subfloor
  • Large-format tile floor
  • Drywall, trim and paint
Finished room in the former porch with a wall of windows, white trim and slate-look tile floor

The job

The porch was already enclosed, but it was only being used as storage. The crew cleared it and stripped it back to the framing and subfloor.

A large-format tile floor went down over the new subfloor, set with leveling clips so the big tiles sit flat. The walls were closed up, trimmed in white and painted, which turned it into a bright room with windows on three sides.

Furnished, it works as a sitting room and home office.
